Probably the best gearbox oil is Swepco 201 and for the engine a non synthetic 20w50 or 15w40 seems to be the norm. You will also find that most people change there oil more often than they change there underpants :?

I'm thinking of taking my 11 year old boy who over the last year or so has taken a great interest in cars (mainly big fat cars such a the new Rolls Royce, Cayenne and Veryon). Is anyone else taking kids and do you think it's a good idea?

Just remember that now you will be charged 10% duty of the price of the car plus shipping and then 17.5% VAT on top of that figure. So a couple of years ago US cars where cheap but not as much these days.

And as James says get it inspected.

Good luck living the dream :)

At that time of year Eurotunnel will be running a minimum of 3 and up to 5 trains a hour so I think we should be ok until the New Year when we can all decided what the best time/route is.

You're all like big kids waiting for santa to come

Classis Le Mans 2006 via Tunnel

The current list of interested people is: - Brendan (bjmullan) Mike (210bhp) Phil (pmjt) Tom (drummerboytom ) Tim (timwatsham) Gary (Gary71) bazz55 No timetable has bee...

I have been speaking to Mike (210bhp) and we are likely to travel down from Scotland on Wednesday evening with the intention of getting a morning tunnel crossing and then making a day of the journey to Le Mans. As this takes us through Rouen it might be nice to stop and see the old GP circuit which ...

Just reading an article in Classic Car June 1989 about Bob Watson building a RSR race car. The car had twin plug head fitted but it was configured to run with only single plugs and 10.3 compression, partly for economy and partly because even then a twin-plug distributor costed £2000  . He als...
