Re: FS: set of 2 Cibié hood rally lights
Interesting video on the history of Cibie and SEV Marchal. It says SEV Marchal was bought by Valeo (who owned Cibie) in 1979. Should I infer from that that the SEV Marchal version of the Pallas lamp wasn’t made until after this date? They are identical to the Cibie version save for the pattern on th...

Re: Dealers and POA
If JD lose the fraud cases then every dealer will have to take notice - or risk ending up in court. When the market is going up and everyone is making money you can get away with this stuff. Not the case when the market starts going the other way.

Re: Dealers and POA
I've not seen this, what are JD alleged to have done? or its dealers with cars on SOR & they dont' want to show the 'owners' what they might have sold it for ... That’s the most likely reason. Have a look at what JD Classics have allegedly been up to in the lawsuit they are currently defending....

Re: Goodwood Members Meeting Live Stream
Spoke to the driver. It was a 2L six. Apparently it was very peaky and wouldn't pull with less than 5,800 on the clock. He seemed to do OK but then he's a very good driver.

Re: Porsche Envy
It’s a very British type of envy. I’m always struck how the attitude to nice cars changes the moment you cross the Channel to socialist France.

Re: Lightweight bodyshell - tired but still in one piece
That would be true but for the fact that it wouldn’t have been made by the original manufacturer and wouldn’t have a chassis number. Minor details I know.63sven wrote:

Re: Modern GT/RS - Which one?
I had a 981 Spyder for a year. initially thought it was great - Porsche heading in the right direction for once with a manual only car, less weight and a powerful but not ridiculous engine. However two things got to me. The first was that it felt synthetic. Pressing a sport button to get increasingl...

Re: 993 c4 or c2
I've owned my 993 C4 from new and concur with much of what has been written. They are the last cars from Porsche's early era and anything they have produced since is fundamentally different. It's not as simple as air versus water cooling - it goes much deeper than that. Am not saying the modern cars...
