It would be useful to try the test in 4th and 5th gear. If the noise is in both gears it could be the diff, CV joints or wheel bearings. Weaving (gently) will tell you if it's the wheel bearings

Having re-read Paul's post, I reckon they may be Maxwheel copies. The easiest way to tell is to prise off the cap amd look at the casting, it will have a sandcast finish. The genuine Fuchs was forged and has a smooth finish. The Maxheel has a heavy 6 x 15 in the casting

What you probably have is one late 6" and 3 early "deep dish" 6" rims. The late rim has a 911 part number, the early has a 901 part number on the back of one of the petals.

I have both early and late for sale to complete your set

There is no gasket between the lens and housing on SWB front or rear lamps. You need to seal it with silicone. The seal shown below goes between the housing and the bodywork

Sorry but no. The colouring rings fit over the chrome/black rings. I can probably get hold of more if you want coloured ones

I have just heard of a complete, recently rebuilt 2.2S motor for sale. You could transfer all the barrels, pistons, barrels and heads on to your existing bottom end, then sell off what is left as parts.

Interested?

Motormeister have a reputation. Do a search on PP to see wheter it is good or bad! The pistons and barrels came in matched sets, labelled "5" or "6", denoting matched deck heights and -1, 0 or +1 (STD) and -1 KD 1, 0 KD 1 and +1 KD 1 (oversize)denoting cylinder diameter . If your...

I went through the same thoughts with my 2.8 MFI motor, and have tried 100 RON leaded 5 star (still available through a limited number of outlets), LRP, premium unleaded and standard unleaded and I couldn'y differentiate between them apart from the price! It doesn't suffer from pinging despite runni...
