The black is paint not anodising, it is very tough and will be far harder to get off than the lacquer, trust me I know how tough that black paint is. It makes me think the rims were originally painted before they were anodised.

I would guess that the existing temperature sender and wiring may work with the new gauge, but you may need to fit a sender to match the gauge. The pressure light will work off your exixting sender and wiring, but you will need a matching pressure sender.

Hi Rose The membrane is the plastic sheet on the back of the door panel. It will not be the cause of water entering the car, but a torn one may allow the door panel to rot, did someone take the panel off to check the membrane? I would be more suspicious of the windscreen seal than the door seal, alt...

That could be dirty fuel. The solution is to drain the tank and clean it, blow out the fuel lines and strip and clean the carbs

The ones I have for sale do not need the alloy moulding, the whole section is rubber, that's what I mean by non-moulding. Does that make sense?

I have front and rear screen non-moulding rubbers bought from Forest Fine, but I put the moulding type back in. They cost me £66, yours for £50
