Re: 914 1.7 74 wiring Advice

Thanks Kev, that's a great help and inspired me to see if we can fire it up tomorrow evening. I know I have cocked up the fuel pipes but it's a simple fix. JW, sadly going to miss Bo'ness again this year, family holiday incorporating 21st but I will be back in 2016 hopefully with my hot rod 914. I m...

914 1.7 74 wiring Advice

Getting close to the final stages of 914 rebuild, Shandyhaggis and I started about the same time and too many summers have passed with the 914 in bits. Today made up all new fuel hoses and tidied up some wiring and turned the engine over and have oil pressure. There are a few wires that I can not re...

Re: How to remove the rear quarterlight chrome trim

Thanks Guys, bitter sweet, that's sort of what I've done, will have another go. In the meantime its a bilge pump or leave them as they are fitting like a pair of your big brothers pants.

Re: How to remove the rear quarterlight chrome trim

Hi Guys

Anybody got some advice on fitting the new Quarterlight seal, cannot seem to get it to go in frame so I have a loose fit that is unsightly and not a great seal as I discovered over the holidays.

If I cant make the seal fit I will have to fit a "Bilge Pump"

Re: 912 Engine Makeover

I'm watching this knowing that it's getting close to decision time for my poor 912 engine. I am thinking about mothballing and transplanting a Type 4 that has had a bit of money and love thrown at it. Any experience on what involved?

Re: Julien Borne France's answer to Magnus Walker

Hi Allan

Your car looks great. We will have to make the Spring 912 event happen, it'll be the first one I think. Will contact you after the holidays. Was joking about the Magnus thing but an early morning blast in Glasgow or Edinburgh sounds cool. Catch up in the new year. Paul

Re: Julien Borne France's answer to Magnus Walker

Hi Allan Sounds like a plan, a Scottish 912 meet in the spring. I think there are at least five that I've come across. Plot them on a map and find a place that works. Make a movie maybe! Magnus Walker spoof perhaps! Don't need to think about before Christmas although if the weather is good I am half...

Re: Julien Borne France's answer to Magnus Walker

Great video, really amplifies the feel good factor that driving a 912 gives us.

Have a look at this site, some nice shots of my 912 showing off.

Cool, like that idea, very hot rod. Brownish fibre glass like 917 engine fan housing would also be trick.
