Re: Everyone needs to read this.

How will they police this anyhow? Is every MOT tester to become a concours judge?

Re: Everyone needs to read this.

Back to crossplies then all you 356'ers. That'll make the roads much safer.

Looks like fairground vehicles are exempt so I'm working on a Smarts Brothers livery.

Re: Okrasa Special

Perhaps pull a swage line through to the tail to give it some visual length at the back?

Re: this week I will mostly be listening to.. (a music po

Found my old Minidisc player whilst clearing out the garage. Back in the 90s, thought that was the best way to go recording the vinyl.

New battery and put it in the car and this was in it:

Re: 911 heat exchangers

I'm working on an electric heating system for those who wish to run headers. In development at the moment, should be ready for summer. Great timing huh?

Retrofit Electric Heater System

Hi All, I have developed a prototype electric heating system that I will be testing in my car over winter. Initial results look promising. I can get warm air to the windscreen in 20 seconds from a cold start. The system replaces the footwell blowers in a 3.2 and adds them in an SC or earlier car (wh...

Ian, Good spot. I must admit that the last time I did this was in 2009 and I was well under the £15K. Funny how 'they' have different ideas of what a classic car is when it comes to tax discs isn't it? Looks like this is a non-starter then which is a shame. Just have to stick to the 'normal' expense...

Would you be able to run the cost of restoration through the company as well? Yes - that's what I have been doing for a number of years. Btw - I am not an accountant but have had this all checked out by my accountant and it is legit. So the perfect scenario works out to be buying an early car (list...

Thanks Richard,

So we're looking around £5200 for an early car. Interesting. Will pop over to IB for the later cars I guess.

911 as company car. Price when new?

Hello, For a few years now I have run a classic as a company car, taking advantage of the rule which bases the company car tax paid on the price of the vehicle when it was new. In return I have run all restoration and running costs through the company legitimately as expenses - offsetting my tax bil...

Thanks everyone. I went and checked out a couple of 3.2s yesterday up close and was smitten. Anyone know what bumpers are on the bronze car? Alan - you've hit the nail on the head. I want to buy a good car to start with so don't want to completely tear it apart. Just a few reversible subtle changes....

Mike, I totally agree - saw that car and thought the same. Doesn't look like the front panel is the right one either.

Nige - I think you have convinced me - nice motor. Btw, what's behind the rear bumper rubbers? Thinking of deleting them and adding a small number plate light. Just realised we've kinda hi-jacked the early 911 board to talk IBs - oops. Btw, as we're doing pics (and well off-topic) - this was my last...
