Finish on Zenith Carbs

Hi I'm wondering what others have done with their Zenith throttle bodies. I know they're supposed to be finished in black oxide but I have no idea where to get that done or if others bother. I'm assuming that matt black heat-resistant engine paint is the thing to use. Can anyone put me right? Thanks...

HANG ON. I've just remembered - that plate is currently on a 1959 morris minor. I'm really confused now. Have told him to ring the DVLA and ask!!

Out of interest I've looked up the rules on the Direct Gov website. It seems you're right. An A plate would make a 356A "look younger" so it can't be transferred backwards. Therefore, only a 356C owner could buy AHJ 356A from my chum's car. Not quite so cool! QUOTE: Conditions for transfer...

I have a friend who's just acquired a morris minor in the barn with his new house. The reg is AHJ 356A. Obviously As weren't '63 cars but it may interest someone out there. Anyone have any idea what it could be worth?
