Yes those are the two green cars I drove with down to Ventura GAF '06. The metallic green belongs to my friend John and the leaf green belongs to my friend Alex. Both cars are stunning in person. The Metallic green has since received freshly recovered tan sports seats with houndstooth centers.

When the window is wound all the way up, the window winder (handle) should be at the 8 o'clock (rh door) or 4 o'clock position (lh door) - as in the bottom picture in your 1st post. I did not know this bit of info. Where's my flathead screwdriver? Does anyone have a close up pic of the correct leat...

A local friend of mine owns a leaf green car. It is a STUNNING color and one of the best colors in the Porsche palette. I go to events with this guy all the time and people naturally flock to his car. We told him we were going to get a shirt made for him that said "It's leaf green." becaus...

1 Yes - anodized aluminum which is why they are so wavey. 2 Don't know about the rivets but not sure why you would remove them to refinish. There is a place in SoCal that refurbishes window frames. They also refurbish decklid grills. It is my understanding that decklid grill refurbishing is around $...

Hey Alan - nice work as usual - painfully thorough! I recently painted my valves while the engine was out and they wer ereally close to Koni orange/red. Is this a SWB vs LWB difference?

It sounds like you are running out of suspension travel at the front. You can raise the front easily enough to get a feel for what it will be like with more travel. This is the first thing I would do. Stiffening the whole lot up will probably not improve your confidence in the wet. Race cars are al...

Thanks guys! I have the 26mm bars on my parts shelf and will need to purchase a set of 21mm bars. I was entertaining the idea of 22/28 combo.
hot66 - is that Bilstein HDs on all 4 corners? Did you need to revalve them? What about your sways? What is your favorite color? ;)

Andy,
Of the 3 cars - what is your personal preference for the street? Thinking of 21/26 for my SWB.

Bootsy - really dig your avatar! Refurbishing an old one to look new always looks like a repro to me...not that there's anything wrong with that. An original with all enamel in great condition and metal turned to a copper look is awesome. I recently replaced my brushed alum and black badge with such...

The SWB targa is the "seafoam green" I had in mind and I do recall it being a carry over color from the 356s. The above leaf green was the only leaf green at the R Gruppe event in Sonoma. There is one other leaf green that I know of in the area - great color. Have you got it narrowed down ...
