Re: 914-6 Rear Badge
Mine is also in two pieces and Araldite seems to do the job. All I can say is it's definately not brass. Aluminium seems to be nearer the mark. I'll have another look but I don't know if its original. I'd looked at the AA replacement but didn't know about the size issue. If anyone has a definitive a...

Re: Speedo drive - Replacement doesn't fit!
Thanks Kev, Your description matches perfectly the unit I've removed. 26mm A/F (so a 27mm spanner etc.), but the new unit from is 22mm A/F. I'll chase up with Roger Bray where I got it from. Thanks also for the comment that the gearbox is still sealed when the drive is removed, I did wonder. There w...

Speedo drive - Replacement doesn't fit!
Hello All, happy New Year. With all the cr@ppy weather about I finally got round to replacing my defunct speedo drive. I had everything ready for a quick job, drained the oil and removed the old drive etc. Unfortunately the coupling nuts are different sizes. The new one is smaller and doesn't fit. T...

Re: Speedo
My angle drive has literally just failed and as Kev said, its a common problem. It'll be a job for over winter. I'll be using a speedo app on my phone in the meantime. I'm thinking it'll be more accurate anyway. If anyone has any tips or a reference on how to fix, it would be appreciated. Cheers

Re: Why do you own a 914?
I did a classic car rally with my mate in his original 1973 911 RS. It was a great experience. In our group was John Sutton in his 2.7 914. We were behind him at the start of each stage with this thing barking at us. My mate sold his RS and I said I would get a car for the classic car rallies. He sa...

Re: Parcelforce Issues
Your experiences certainly show the broad spectrum. It shows the different levels of service and care.
I'll certainly not use Parcelforce again as a matter of principle and will warn others to go elsewhere.
Will checkout your link.
Cheers

Parcelforce Issues
Has anyone ever had issues with Parcelforce? I sold two rear lenses through DDK and boxed them all securely. Sent with Parcelforce with insurance, when the package was delivered it was squashed and obviously had been mishandeld and one of the lenses was cracked. Sent the claim in and they have come ...
