Re: US Import without Title

Exporting a car from the US without a title is very messy and can be a nightmare. The problem arises on the US side as the shippers will need a clear title document before they load the car. There are ways around it (i.e. export the car as parts - the car would have to satisfy this criteria though, ...

Ha, Kermit as it was known locally in Galway :)
Beautiful car, the rep spent around 2 years in the care of a very careful owner in Ireland, hence the ZV registration. You probably have all of that history already but let me know if you would like any gaps filled in and I'll try and help out.

Re: radar wheels and wide 5 disc brakes

I don't have direct experience of fitting the CB disc conversion but I think VW dropped spindles will fit, you just have a bit of mixing and matching of VW/Porsche bearings, tie-rod ends, etc. Have a look at the link below for a discussion on it. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2657...

Re: Looking for source of a wierd part

Can you find any p/n on them? I do a bit of work with Pem and there may be a possibility of asking them for some quality off-picks or similar. They've literally thousands in their range so an idea of shoulder height, thread pitch, etc might help narrow it down a bit. Do you need many?
