Hi all
I'm just waiting for plates for mine now.
If anyone needs a hand with their projects, at weekends, and you live in the south east, please let me know.
I'd love to pass on some of the skills I've learnt over the last 2 years.
Tony

Re: R/H Carb leaking out of the top
Thanks Alan
Failed the MOT on:
Steering, lock to lock, tyres fouling inner arches
Steering, slight play at top of column
Both front ball joints, excessive play
Battery, unsecured
Headlights, too high and too far right, need adjusting
So all in all, not too shabby!

Re: R/H Carb leaking out of the top
Hi all! Sussed it! As Alan suggested, there was a tiny pin hole in the float, causing it to sink, thus spurting out the top Popped up to see Max for a replacement, fitted, sorted! Changed the oil too as it had become contaminated with petrol All up and running now for the MOT tomorrow! Cheers guys!

Re: R/H Carb leaking out of the top
Hi Alan
Thanks for the quick reply and tips
Fuel pressure should be ok, refurbed the pump a month back
I'll check the float valve again today, and the float for any holes
Thanks again!

R/H Carb leaking out of the top
Morning all! My right hand Solex is spurting out fuel, it's coming out of the central tube at the top, between the throttle bodies. I've cleaned out and checked for a sticky float valve, and Max adjusted the float valve height the other week. It worked fine for a bit, but started her up yesterday, i...

Re: rusted front panel, your opinion
I agree with MT
Looks like you've caught it in time
Having just done my suspension pan and bonnet latch area, just taking it back to bare metal will give you a far better idea of what's involved
Teach yourself the basics, it'll save you a lot of money!

HELP!
Hi all I'll be losing my workshop at the end of January '12, and will need a lock up with enough room for the car and space to work I've got a friend that wants to work on his Sunbeam Alpine as well, so space for 2 would be ideal, but he might have to find something for himself depending on how my s...

Re: 912 Resto - Update
Thanks James
I certainly have! It's only a small leccie fan heater, but it certainly takes the edge off the cold!
Luckily the weathers been ok down South, for now!
I'll post some pics from this weekends progress at lunchtime today
Thanks for taking the time to look

Help! Steering tube bearing! '66 912!
Hi all! Well, I've got some heads scratching down at Roger Bray and Max at Revival Does ANYONE know where I can get the bearing that fits onto the base of the steering column, and sits inside the steering tube? Here's a rough picture, I'll post some more later tonight: http://i1187.photobucket.com/a...

Re: 912 Resto - Update
Hi Vic! Thanks mate. Didn't manage to get the wings on, 'cos needed to prep and paint the sills and underside of the doors Had to cut out a tiny amount of rust, but prepping for welding took a bit longer than expected Managed to pull the headlamp wiring loom through the conduit though, which was a j...
