Re: Silverstone auction May
be interesting to see what they sell for. I have always done my own PPIs ( not recommended!) and have never been able to do a proper job of it at auction previews , which effectively puts me off bidding !

356 Spring Drive 2017 - Kent/Sussex
This annual event is organised by Richard East , and benefits from his detailed knowledge of his local backwaters . It is held on a weekday when the weekend tourists are not clogging the roads . If you have a 356 and the time available and you can get yourself to where the M25 meets the M26 then it ...

Re: Tuning Solex P11 40-4 carbs after rebuild
Thanks guys , very helpful. One more question , where can I get a set of gaskets from for the manifold to carb joints and the fuel banjo joints ? The ones I took off look ok , there was a spacer direct onto manifold then a ?paper gasket between spacer and carb , then a rubbery black gasket between c...

Re: 2.4t rhd project on the bay now
Beware the money grabbing politicians, or the do gooding greeny environmentalists  Dead right . There have been in last few years some attempts to put old cars off the road by making them illegal. The sort of classic cars that I buy are vulnerable because they are 'drivers' and not in the top...

Re: 65 911 with non match engine
The price puts me off !!
Sportwagen is a great company for restoration , so that bit is good , then you have the issue of originality of every part large and small to support the price , I don't know enough to call that . The kidney is safe .

Re: RHD 356's
On the US-based 356 Reg 'site - there is a discussion about the numbers of RHD 356s sold and delivered in-country, that I have become interested in and contributed to. I have listed some of the data of which I am aware on Australian/NZ deliveries and to a lesser extent on South Africa (seems some w...

Re: 356 owners in Surrey/Berks
hi tmesis , that looks very good , nice panel gaps and good colour . There is a good 356 drive organised by Richard East , East Sussex and Kent , next one is 25 April calling in at Paragon. I get down to Goodwood a fair bit , usually in a 356C , next drive is 18/19 March Members Meeting . Before the...
