Re: Hedingham - Classics at The Castle 2017

I hope that CATC continues and don't see a problem with committing £20 to pre-book , certainly not offended by the need to guarantee finances. The 3 guys who have made it happen did so when the old cars were not so cared about , much the same way that DDK got going. I cannot imagine any other meetin...

Re: Decisions Decisions

I think you should put both your cars up for sale , and if they both sell well done ! Once you have decided for a change life is too short to mess about . The Cayman is a good platform for track driving or fast road , I occasionally drive a friend's Cayman R at Spa and it is very capable compared to...

Re: Tuning options in Yorkshire?

It`s in the 356 Section - So one Assumes ? However the definition of `Assumption` - Is the Start of a Cock-up Dead right Mike ! I would head south for 356 fettling . I am surrounded by very competent 911 fixers in Cheshire , especially for things like remapping 964 ECUs , but they never ( hardly ev...

Re: Good early 911 garage (London/ West London)

Difficult if you want good . I always used Jaz in Wembley , they moved out to St Albans , so I now take my cars there , get train to collect /return . Steve Winter is excellent on early 911s , he races one , looks after a few for other people . I am now a 356 man which is even trickier to find a goo...

Car is an outlaw pre-A Thanks Looks like you are now sorted with a valuation provided by Bootsy ( get well soon mate ) My comments . My insurer is Cla...

Re: Not new to Porsche but new to 356 ....

I think you are about right with prices on the 356A Roy , with a couple of comments . Everyone seems to want an A , so supply and demand is in operation , for a reasonable car you need about £100k available . Floor price might be a neglected non running rustbucket complete with engine for £30k . If ...

Re: Not new to Porsche but new to 356 ....

Good answers form the ddk massive . I will chip in to say that if you are mechanically minded , you can do your own maintenance with the support of the excellent workshop manual . No computer diagnostics needed ! Health warning . 356 body work is not straightforward , many of these cars were not pro...

Re: Kardex - Colour question

Hi Max , I thought this was an outlaw and painted to the colour you wanted rather than a car as delivered by the factory !

As Mike Smith has pointed out , getting a CoA from Porsche does not guarantee any better information than the Kardex .

Hope to see it when it arrives in SW7 !
