Re: >>> 2013 DDK Calendar - order yours here <<<
Got mine today too, many thanks. The rest of Christmas is going to be a real anticlimax now... the Ferryman (and Ferrywoman) card and my calendar arriving on the same day, brilliant!

Re: My 1965 912
Hi Howard, I did have an issue with my gauge a few years ago. The actual "thermocouple" (possibly the wrong word) broke off and was discarded. Through Terry Allen it was refurbished by Knowsley Instrument Services Ltd. in Liverpool. It now works ok but it does have a red light at 6 O'clock...

Beautiful work! Definitely mor pictures, please.
Grenoble, why the interest in the outside temperature gauge? Mine has it and it works! (although it is a little optomistic).

Re: Powder coated steel wheels
I had exactly the same issue when I had mine done through Max at Revival Cars. I never even saw them to be honest, Max simply sent them back and they stripped , cleaned and re-coated them.
It seems like this is standard practice (they're just old wheels might be the attitude.)

Re: Tom's 912 Soft Targa for Sale
Hi Tom,
It was me that guided you back to civilization from Hedingham, it was good to meet you and have a short drive together!
Surely the alternative solution would be to rent another garage and keep the car! I know I'd regret selling it if it were mine.

Subs sent, thanks Bootsy. I had loads of problems with Paypal this time round (possibly me ) and couldn't find the "send as gift" option. Please let me know what the fees are and I'll add it to a donation to the "10K for 10" fund.

Re: Opening Ceremony for the Olympics!
I thought it was great, glued to the telly right to the end! When Paul Mc was doing the "just the guys, now just the girls" bit did anyone else want him to say "Now just the royals!" Ihope to get the reaction from our work Polish contingent on Monday. One thing struck me d...

Re: Metal thickness
Barry, Why is there the such a variation from the nominal size in sheet steel? We have the same swg (18swg - 0.048" and 20swg - 0.036" etc.) in my industry but the tolerance is less than 0.001" so I am just curious.

Looking at the photos again the 914/6 looks really good. Have you been doing a lot of polishing?
