Re: Rear panel needed

Sorry to hijack but slightly on topic - does anybody have any experience of shipping costs from Restoration Design in the Netherlands? I know it will vary on quantity/weight but will need a few panels at some point and assume it will be best to try and buy all at once due to shipping overhead.

Cheers

Blimey I'd have thought there would have been more strength in the windscreen frame!

Re: Mike Karavasili

I never knew Mike but do know he knew and worked on my 914 at some point and still have invoices to prove he repaired the hell hole amongst other things. Sad news.

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

Sounds like you're having some fun and working hard Darren! Not quite at your level but I had this as a courtesy car today and have to say I was very impressed. Handled beautifully, well put together and went like a scolded cat and the sound was pretty good too! I've not driven one of the modern six...

Re: Rebuild update

Hi Andrew, having had the call on New Years Eve saying my son had been in an accident I understand the feeling however he was fortunate not to be hurt so I can't imagine what you and your family must have gone through in your situation. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Regards

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day

Well after a difficult end to the year with my son having an accident on New Years Eve (fortunately not injured) and caring for my Father with Cancer for the past few months culminating in him passing on 5th Jan we needed something to brighten up the year so decided to surprise my son for his 19th b...

Re: Anyone know anything about P38 Range Rovers?

Not sure if you're looking to help him out locally Mike but you've always got Keith Gott Land Rover http://www.keithgott.co.uk

Not sure if they would take on a recomissioning but might be worth asking.

Black early 911/912 Bletchingdon Tuesday 31st October

I was just on my way back to the A34 on the B4027 after attending a meeting having just passed Chesterton Coach Works and coming the other way was a black early 911/912. I was in a hire car so no point in waving! I was hoping to pop in to Chestertons for a look as I know someone on there is having w...

Fantastic work Stephen....truly....! You'll be giving that Carter chap a run for his money at this rate...:) J It was that one day tuition from Barry all those years ago that dispelled the welding myth for me and planted the seed. I'm hoping he's going to run another one of those some time soon!

Re: 914 door locks

Hi Brian & Kate Don't tell me you've actually managed to get one of them back to the UK!! If so we need to see some pictures. Found this article on 914World which may help - http://www.914world.com/specs/rekey.php Also I seem to remember Alan at Canford Classics mentioned he could rekey locks so...
