Try Mike Karavasili of RSK - He's more local to you (Kelshall nr Chester) and is the 914 expert. Trouble is I can't find a telephone number for him, but I'm sure someone else will post it........

How many nerdie points do I get for spotting that the 2.3 badge is from a Mk 5 C**tina ? None at all - in fact you get 20 minus points because its a genuine Porsche badge (well 2 actually). The base badge is the 2.0 litre 914 badge where the '.0' has been replaced by 2/3 of the upside down 'E' from...

Its your car now so don't have to apologise to me. If you'd asked me I could have given you the genuine Gulf logos - both large and small!

In answer to Fourteener's question - the 914 has been a mixed experience - it took a long time to get the car 'right' and having done that I can honestly say that it is probably the best car to drive that I have ever had. Well guys - the 914 goes next weekend so I guess its goodbye as I have no plans to add a Porsche to the fleet in the forseeable future. Thank you all for your advice, help, and company.

Take care.

Kind regards

I've got a bag full of Weber washer/gaskets. Can you give me some dimensions and I'll see what the garage can yield!

The event is in Groningen - the most northerly city in the Netherlands. Scheduled for June I believe. I see you've asked via the 914 Yahoo group - this should provide the information you need.
