Re: Underseal Removal

Shameless thread hijack. Flat6 - Did you manage to recreate the original cream colour and texture with the Cobra product please? Sorry, haven't got to that stage yet. As to freezing underseal, people have had great success freezing and cracking off the heavy black sound deadening on the inside...

Re: Post resto clear out - Updated list

Hi, I'll take two rear light seals please, one for each side!

Or one if that's all that's left...

Re: Ratty Range Rover

Oh I can post some photos of a much much rattier 3-door that this!

Great purchase and I'm sure it will clean up well. Chorizo smells aside it may at least have a chassis...

Health to Drive!

Re: Plating and restrengthening suspension bolts

OK, so looks like I can get my 8.8's plated locally with no need to bake. I'll see how they come out.

Don't know what rating the bolts in the spring plates are so I'll just buy new.

Thanks all!

Re: Any user opinions about UPOL Raptor?

I do have experience of ordinary grey Gravitex from both aerosol and gun. I did get a reaction to a primer coat of a Wurth anti-rust paint that I had used on localised parts of my inner wings and ended up having to remove it all again and start from scratch. I found Gravitex doesn't seem to like bei...

Re: Any user opinions about UPOL Raptor?

My bodywork guy recommended Novol Cobra over Raptor and I used the tintable version for my inner wheel arches. Absolutely beautiful product to work with and of course didn't need to be over painted. Went on nicely even with their cheap schutz gun and my very small compressor. https://i.postimg.cc/gk...

Re: Pre-73 parts clear out.

Hi,

Steering shaft not what I'm after. Probably off an earlier car than my '73 which has removable UJs.

Re: Offer to Stamp Paint Tags

John, I will be very happy if mine looks like any of the above.

If I ever go to sell my car and someone says, 'Well I'd buy it but honestly I think that paint tag has been stamped a little heavily so sorry but no sale'. I'll enjoy running over them repeatedly...

But don't tell anyone I said that.

Re: Offer to Stamp Paint Tags

Gents,

Image

So 415 is the actual paint code - what do the 9 and the 2 denote?

Gary - how much do I owe you for the plate and postage?

Cheers,

Al.

Re: Offer to Stamp Paint Tags

Hi John and Gary,

Thanks for all this - still waiting for the guy doing my bodywork to send me a closeup...

1973 Sepia Brown anyway! Will confirm exact code and layout.

Re: Fooks

I think I have a pair. Rears off an SC.

I'd want what I paid for them. £400.

If you're interested I'll have a look tomorrow.
