Sadly I don't think I'm going to be ready by then & I steadfastly refuse to turn up in a water-pumper! :oops: I'm gutted, being as I'm about 40 miles from the damned thing - but if anyone needs somewhere to stay & doesn't mind the 40 mile trek we should have a spare room......... just promis...

Oil system recommendations: mild tuned 914

Looking to see what folks have done & what works best - research on PP & 914club suggests using a Sladek pump with the outlet plugged to force the oil thru an external cooler / filter. Is this the best set-up & do I still need an extended sump or an accusump? :? Also, what sort of set-up...

ummm, neeeearly.....got a bit carried away with changing a head on a Sprinter, turbo on a Nissan & about to do an engine swap on a Kangoo - not entirely sure I'm gonna make it in the '14Tom,

...but I'll give it a bloody good try! :shock:

the side lights are all orange though - i guess they'll need changing to the half clear half amber types?
Yes, technically speaking, though MOT stations can sometimes overlook the sidelight colours...... :wink:

Very fortunately, twice drove a 1936 Alfa 2300 (straight-cut gears, 2 1/2" exhaust, the lot!) for about 50 miles on the A39 in N Devon & Cornwall 20 or so years ago. Still can remember the sensation of speed - even at 50. Just an amazing car - RHD - and a wonderful experience. AA Brand new...

I'm afraid as above ^^, the metal won't be up to reshaping, best bet is to strip & sell the bits & draw from your experience.....my 914 is stored & not currently insured - your pics have prompted me to get this sorted!!! :shock:
