Nick, I had the same problem, only mine was with Webers. It turned out to be the idle jets, which weren't quite large enough - just 0.05mm too small in the end. Like you said it could be the accelerator pump jets, but once you're off and running it's usually down to the idle jets and then mains once...

I have a painted dash on my Bahama Yellow '67. From closer inspection of some older photos I was given when i bought the car, it did have a black dash originally. Obviously the previous owner stripped the black to reveal the exterior colour. I much prefer the body colour dash on my particular car. h...
