rolling Road

We went to Bob Watsons today. Engine's been broken in. Bob's place difficult to find... So, the moment of truth....how many HPs are there? Mike's definitely built a great engine, it feels completely different. Refined at low revs. Torquey through the mid range. Flat six like I've never heard above 6...

Parts

Hi,

Do you have a washer bottle that you'd part with and the jets & one-way valves?

And not technically part of the car, but just in case:

Wheel brace
jack (if it's the bilstein jack and has the handle)
fan-belt spanner thingy

Thanks

N Yorks (which is a big county) has some top roads. They like Porsches. Apart from that big cresty bump that had both of us up in the air & then hitting the bottom of the suspension. I didn't know my car could do that....after retracing our steps to go over the same bit of road because it was so...

She lives!! that's sounding exciting! Mike tells me that we need a few more pipes so that we can get the choke to knock off, and that the timing needs a bit of attention, but wow...even over my crappy desk speakers at work that sounds completely different.

Sorry, I misunderstood, yes as John says they're yellow passivated; will let you know how it goes. I'm expecting that they will dull considerably and to be honest, it propbably needs a new set, this is merely putting off the inevitable and taking out the rust that was on there....just didn't have a ...

I'm pretty sure that it's thermal resistant paint on the exhaust that John M suggested using, I think you have it on your exhast too John, is that right?

Thanks everyone, it does look great doesn't it, unrecognisable as the same engine. I suspect it will go as well as it looks as I'm guessing Mr B has been as meticulous on the inner workings and set-up as he has on the obvious stuff on the outside. I am planning to put it on the dyno, I'm hoping to t...

Getting close now...!

So we're in the final stages; the hard lines have been plated and fitted http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a419/murph2309/S7006961.jpg The inside of the stacks cleaned out by hand (!! thanks Mike!) http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/a419/murph2309/S7006959.jpg The tops of the stacks plated, powde...

I don't think they made that many of them and I've never seen or heard of another one in the UK., so it does seem to have some rarity value - even though there are some targaists ;-) out there, I love it.

So much looking forward to driving it again.....
