Paul My RS was built in Dec '72 so not quite as early as yours, and not registered in the UK until the early '80s I sent a letter from Porsche GB confirming build-date to the local DVLA office which was sufficient to get an age related reg (and white on black plate) and get historic car (ie free) ro...

OK - just got to the garage to check: black with smooth / tanned finish on the outside and tan (coloured!!!) but suede finish on the inner face against the door card.

Just edited my previous post to clarify - sorry for the confusion!!!

I went to Coys yesterday and had a good look at that 906 - fascinating history and a wonderful car.

Thanks for the offer Andy.
I hadn't realised that it was in the Carrera RS book - I've actually got that, though it is in storage at the moment as I'm in the middle of a house move.
That being the case no need to worry about copying: I'll make a trip to good old 'Big Yellow'!!!!
