I think they are pretty aware of the dis-satisfaction with the food by now. James who co-ordinates the GRRC events has even posted on the Pistonheads thread about it

You are right in some ways - I have more 'pure driving pleasure' in my Caterham. Its quicker, handles better, brakes better and is more direct than any other car I've ever driven. But there is more to it than that, and not just investment value. Pride in owning an excellent original example of somet...

Paul That is really interesting. I nearly bought a Daytona about a year ago. At that stage ISTR prices a fair bit higher than your 85k: I'd have snapped that one up!!! At the moment Daytona prices seem to be all over the place. I spoke to a dealer a while ago who said he wouldn't write a cheque for ...

Good turn out and lovely morning. I had a great and traffic free run down from London, one of the benefits of being an early riser. Sadly had to slope off early due to family commitments (well it is Mother's Day  ) and a rather slower more traffic ridden run back - though I was rather glad of ...

When I first bought mine the insurers (Zurich Private Clients) were happy to accept the bill of sale as proof of value for the first year, so I guess your scenario wouldn't necessarily arise in the first year. After that you need to get a valuation from someone for the new year at each renewal. I gu...

Yep - love the 308: Had a mate who had one up to about 2 or 3 years ago: though my indoctrination process must have been good 'cos he swapped it for a 2.2 911 8) Much as I loved the car, I'm not sure I'd agree with the "prettier than a Dino" comment though :? But slightly biased as the Din...

Each to their own I guess. Rather depends what you want from a car. There are very few modern cars that I get overly enthusiastic about really, and have to say, money no object I'd go for something like a 250SWB or an old 8C Alfa, both of which again fit into the 'no faster than a modern Golf' box, ...
