Andrea
That's very good information - thanks very much.
I'll keep watching my bank balance. The sum involved shouldn't be difficult to notice
I'll keep you all up to date with developments - 'cos I know you're enjoying this as much as I am.

The car was apparently sold into Italy when new (according to the guy I bought it from), so that's potentially why he's so keen on it. He wants me to remove the hot VW engine and sell the car with it's (busted) original engine in situ. I've asked for the funds before I start swapping them out. Today...

Basically he's about to send me £Xk having not seen the car or me in the flesh, and not yet had a full address from me...

It's a leftover from that awful Jack Black movie 'Be kind rewind' from where they remade Back to the Future without any budget. Or taste. Or skill. Or eyes. Heck, I live in Essex, no doubt it will turn up in a local Maccie D's on a Friday soon with some cap on backwards blade carrying scumbag behind...

The switch in my splitty did the same, and like Mr P says, I took out the switch, and got the MOT no problem. According to the online tester's handbook, vehicles first used before 1 April 1986 are only tested for hazard lights if a switch is fitted. http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual_150.htm (last sectio...

912 targa
Finally relenting & selling my 912. Owned the car for 2½ years & still love it but it’s time for it to move on. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w134/eastcoastdave_bucket/912%20for%20sale/IMG_1949-2.jpg http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w134/eastcoastdave_bucket/912%20for%20sale/IMG_1940....
