Martin - it's a 6x15" 'flat face' Fuchs with a 36mm offset.

The last 2 digits of the part number (00) indicate that it accepts the 3-prong centre caps as opposed to the later (10) version which takes the ring type centre cap.

Date code is likely to be '72 or early '73.

Up until Feb '72 (1st two versions of the decal) they were fitted to the inside of the windscreen at the bottom corner on the passenger side (about an inch from the seal). The later two versions were fitted to the inside of the right rear quarter window glass. On Targas they were fitted in the right...

The Weltmeister decal for '69,'70 was used up until late February 1972 - after that the remainder of the '72 models had the '69,'70,'71 decal.

They are conventional wheel spacers.

Anything thicker than about 6mm will require longer wheel studs.

It varies to some extent from car to car & depends what make & size of tyre you fit, whether your suspension is standard (or uprated) & whether or not you have increased negative camber.

Minimum spacer is usually 6mm up to about 18mm.

The replacement voltage regulators that most outlets sell now are 'solid-state' electronic units as opposed to the original 'electro-mechanical' type. Type 911 have them: 911 1972-74 SEV/Marchal external £28-00 http://home.clara.net/andyjboy/Type911vr.jpg http://www.type-911.co.uk/gp_electrical.htm ...

Quite possibly the voltage regulator is at fault since, as its name suggests, it controls the level of voltage being put back into the batteries. With the engine off the voltage at the battery should be approx 12 volts rising to 13.5-14.5 volts at 2000rpm - anything significantly higher usually indi...

The end cap should be (bolted) on. The central pipe has lots of holes drilled in it - as you add discs between the end of the exhaust & the end cap it restricts the flow from the end of the pipe & forces the gases out of the radial holes Remove discs to decrease the exhaust opening and incre...

Derek - they will fit but if you're not in a hurry I would try & find a pair of the earlier '74-'75 aluminium trailing arms. These utilise the same rear antiroll bar fixings as your car (as did the '76 & '77 version) but the post '75 arms can cause interference with the '71 & earlier out...
