You could always use a cheaper oil whilst it's in storage.

If it has to be one or the other, then it's much better to change the oil prior to storing the car for the winter - this ensures that 'old' oil which may contain acidic residues will not 'sit' in contact with bearing surfaces.

Pictures of my Black Targa

I realised that I haven't posted any pictures of my RS-engined Targa since it arrived in the UK so here are a few (mediocre ones) until I get some better ones. Just a brief reminder of the spec: All servicing/maintenance & upgrades carried out by Andial : 2.7 RS engine (911/83 unit from '74 2.7 ...

Most 'offers' like that tend to dry up/disappear when the car actually comes onto the market - I know someone who was offered the car a week ago for significantly less than £150,000...

- agreed, but you need to compare like with like... there are other T/R's in more original condition with much more successful competition history available for less than 2 BRX's asking price.

Eoin Sloan's car for sale

Anyone notice that 2 BRX is up for sale (again) through Autofarm ?

I'm quite surprised that he is selling it already.

Will - I don't think those Webers would be much use to Peter as they're twin-choke IDA's for a 4-cylinder engine...

In recent years I've used Eurocar Parts - fit well, don't leak & reasonably price.

Basically the 912 engine was the final development of the 356 engine - virtually the same as the 356 C.

The 914 engine is totally different - essentially it's a VW type IV originally from the VW 411.
