Sounds like a problem with your garage..
I have MOT'ed two USA import vehicles that were 55 and 71 on their VIN, pre registration with the DVLA and without any problem.

Re: Buying an unregistered project with no paperwork
Handy hint... My local DVLA office in Peterborough has an excellent record with enthusiasts. We've presented some extremely 'bald' cars there - some driven, some trailered - and have never had anything but excellent service with very few minor paperwork issues to resolve. The chaps are knowledgable...

Re: Not so nice RHD 2.4S at auction
I wonder how many folk are wondering how much a complete 2.4S engine would cost these days (if you can find one).( Interesting point Paul (to me anyway). I believe I have a 73 2.4S engine in my ratty 69' bitza 911T  . Anyone any idea what such any engine might be worth? :bounce:  Cheers...

Re: Ex-DDK 912
Would be a good car to 'rod' if you could get it cheap enough. I have a nice little aircooled 2109 fuel injected turbo engine that would sit nicely in there...mmmmmmmmmmm

Re: Rough value
Hi Brian,
What it's cost to date, what it's actually worth to you, and what it will sell for are all very different things. This one for sale has been talked about recently and the discussion is maybe a guide:
