Pre-73 petrol tank for sale

I've fitted a larger capacity fuel tank and I've been tripping over this original one in my garage for longer than I care to remember! It's a pre-73 tank, it'll need a clean-up but is structurally sound and dent free. I've listed it on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-911-petrol-tank-original...

tricky-to-find part - interior door handle rosette

I've refinished the interior door handles for my 65 911 but I'm missing the little plastic rosettes that pop on the end, the 'sleeve' for the thumb trigger to pop the doors open. I have one, but one of the four lugs have broken. I've searched everywhere but no luck - any clues? http://4.bp.blogspot....

Hella fog lamps

Hi, I'm restoring the Hella fog lamps from my '65 911. The glass has cracked on one of the pair; does anyone have ideas where I can find a replacement glass (or repair it 'seamlessly')?
Thanks,
Stuart

de-chroming steel wheels

Hello,

I want to de-chrome a set of steel wheels from my '65 car. Can anyone offer suggestions of a platers and/or specialist in SE England who has experience in offering this service?

Stuart.

parts ordering from the US

I'm starting on the restoration of a 1965 car. Inevitably there are a hundred plus small items I need, from rubber seals to various trim items that will doubtless cost a number followed by three zeros (!). The US/GBP exchange rate isn't too bad so I've been looking at ordering from the US. Without n...

1969 Porsche 912 for sale

1969 Porsche 912 for sale I’ve owned 912s for 15 years, this one for the last five, and with great sadness I’m selling to part-fund the restoration of a recently acquired 1965 911 race project. This is a terrific original car. No attempt has been made to make this into anything other than as it woul...

1965 911 pre-restoration

At last, after much time searching for a suitable restoration project my newly acquired 1965 911's arrived in the UK from a lifetime in the US. Early indications show it's 99% complete, just a few minor bits and pieces needed. Now the hard work starts on the restoration... Stuart http://www.flickr.c...

I've always found Southbound in Hampshire terrific. If you're feeling brave and have some patience then the low-coast option is to buy perlon off the roll. I did my first 912 this way a few years back using the old carpet set as a template. What you wont get are the edges trimmed, but not impossible...

(Not a Porsche but an..) EXCEPTIONAL 1972 VW CAMPER VAN

47.5K miles from new. Totally original, never restored, in exceptional condition. Magazine featured and show recognition. 1972 built T2, first registered in 1974 having been owned by three previous fastidious owners and garaged all of it’s life with no expense spared on it’s meticulous preservation....

What a fabulous way to start a Sunday - not least a Porsche convoy over the rolling south downs with the sunlight through the trees (where is the Matt Monroe CD when you need it?!). Tea, egg/bacon butties and the best turn-out for a Breakfast Club I can remember, excellent stuff...

I used 4mm birch marine grade plywood for the doors on my Fulvia. Cuts easily enough with a decent stanley knife. Cut slightly oversize and use glass-paper to rub down exactly to your line. Before covering give a couple of coats of wool sealant - it'll be virtually impregnable to moisture. Cheap and...
