If you've stripped your car down to bare metal and can afford to do so then go for it. Most, if not all modern cars are galvanized these days. No more rust worries!

All - will post information soon once I've sorted a route around Husbourne. The Millbrook testing ground is a no go (they don't allow the public in!!). Would anybody be interested in a visit to a car museum (http://www.transportmuseum.co.uk/) if I can get a deal on the entrance fee???

Husband Crawley autojumble + short cruise

Anyone interested in a short cruise following the Husband Crawley Autojumble??

Something along the lines of a road trip through the Woburn estate (deer park, etc.) and then a visit to the Millbrook testing facility.

Let me know of any interest and I'll investigate further.

Ian

Paul Crawford runs one in his '14. He got it from a Marine/Boat supplier as they are quite common in boats.

Try Ian Peacock on 07889 505959. He's down in Portsmouth i think, does a bit of work on 914s so may have a door.

(I bloody threw away 4 old doors when I moved house the other month - All were rotten).

You can get hard drive units to connect upto your stereo (much like an iPod) but they take power from the stereo. There was an article in 911&Pworld a while back where one of the staffers fitted one. Paul I have the original unit the dash and then a modern one underneath the dash (added bonus is...

The OPC Cambridge event was okay. they made us all park round the back though so didn't see many other members cars - too dark. We had a nice 72 911T in a cool '70's orange on display - no photos (forgot my camera - doh!). Had a good look around the workshop/sprayshop (no goodies available though, a...

Knebworth Classic Car Show

A couple of Porsche Pics from Knebworth - an alternative to Brands Hatch. All this talk of 917's & RS's, I bet they didn't have the Maestro & Montego owners club there....or the Allegro owners club.....huh!! http://muchos.co.uk/members/abm914/RSKRep-Knebworth-0804.jpg http://muchos.co.uk/mem...

Sounds like you guys had a good time. What were the other parts of the event like (trade stands, activities, etc.).

Also, was it busy or are PCGB subs going up next year to pay for it!!!!

I'm with Jardine Faber - was 27 when I got my '14.

Tried Aon on a 911s that I was looking to buy but even garaged they wouldn't touch me (no points nor nothing neither!). Best I got was about £800.
