could you temporarily fit the glass just using a windscreen rubber (instead of bonding it in)? Sounds good in theory but not aware there is a front screen seal rubber that would hold the screen in place. Given the frame profile it wouldn't have anything to seal to ? In your '14 you've got the cage fitted so structually it wont make a difference. Then once you get the correct screen you can remove the current one easily.

You can get (from the US) upgraded speaker 'pods' that fit in the original position but allow bigger speakers to be fitted. Coupled with 'tweeters' (if that is the correct terminology) on the B pillars (above or below the top seat belt mounts) could give you a type of surround sound.
