Re: Events this coming weekend (18th - 19th May)

Also found a couple more things: 18th - tonight! - Quay for my Car (Porsches), Poole Quay - http://www.pooleview.co.uk/CarQuay.htm 19t...

Re: 914 International 2012, May 25-28 Belgium. Who Is Going?

could you temporarily fit the glass just using a windscreen rubber (instead of bonding it in)? Sounds good in theory but not aware there is a front screen seal rubber that would hold the screen in place. Given the frame profile it wouldn't have anything to seal to ? Andrew Have seen this done on a ...

Events this coming weekend (18th - 19th May)

Events this coming weekend (18th - 19th May) Just a couple of events on this weekend then. Ones to mention: The Spring Autojumble at Beaulieu - not worth going to really as Andy ‘hawkeyes/lightweight 911/904’ will have snapped up the 3 or 4 Porsche parts on offer by the time you get there :) The ann...

Kev - re route for the trip there, have you or our other illustrious 914 leader 'Kim Jong Bruce Manning Ill' decided which way we're going?

Andrew

Slight bodge I know but could you temporarily fit the glass just using a windscreen rubber (instead of bonding it in)?
In your '14 you've got the cage fitted so structually it wont make a difference. Then once you get the correct screen you can remove the current one easily.

Speak to Jim Calvert at Stateside Tuning re a clutch, he can advise on everything that you need.
Best to change the flywheel oil seal while you're at it.

My '14 once failed on one of the rear numberplate bulbs not being bright enough. Failure to illuminate the numberplate sufficiently was the term I believe.

Same tester, different year - wiper arms not springy enough......

Re: Speakers in 914

Bob

You can get (from the US) upgraded speaker 'pods' that fit in the original position but allow bigger speakers to be fitted. Coupled with 'tweeters' (if that is the correct terminology) on the B pillars (above or below the top seat belt mounts) could give you a type of surround sound.
