Hi.
Mike Smith of PRS has been entrusted with the AFN records of every official 356 imported into the UK.
Every car has a cardex which Mike can copy and send.
It might be worth getting in touch with him.

Have you told the garage of the problem? Sometimes things go wrong that are coincidental to the work that has been carried out. I used to run a small garage up here and now and again for what ever reason you might get a job that need further investigation, that was ok when it left the workshop. The ...

This car is the Tim Chandler car but was sold in the summer. I don't know who owns it now. PR Services restored it for Tim, Sportwagen did the body and paint, Barry Curtis built the engine. Nic. The sound deadening in the photo of your car is the real stuff. If you can, leave the original where it is. It will clean up with thinners on a rag. Replaced sound deadening is a bit of a give away to a non original car. In the old days you could always tell I car that had been in an accident o...

I have had a few problems with classicar over the years that you guys might like to know about. They rebuilt a couple of front 911 calipers for me and didn't set the piston angle. When I reported this back to them, they told me I was over fussy. Why did Porsche set this angle? Must be for a reason? ...

P.R.Service do the real tar stuff, same as original. You have to heat the back of it with a blow torch and then stick it in place, just as the factory did. It's always worth talking to P.R. because unlike other UK suppliers they source the best stuff and don't just sell you Stoddard or what makes th...
