I do hope to Gary. It has done some bizarre things over the last few months - I've scratched my head so much it hurts!Gary71 wrote:Let’s hope it’s just a silly set up thing. Fingers crossed!

Re: 914 2.0 > 3.0 GT Conversion
It's been a frustrating few months trying to get the engine running well. I've tried everything I know and more after hours of searching online. So after taking a break for a while to save my sanity, I did the right thing and got someone a damn sight more knowledgeable than me to get it sorted. Toda...

Rose Passion were my go to during my restoration. First class service every time. I even had a part unused for over a year that turned out to be faulty and they replaced it without any quibble.

It's around 95mm give or take a bit. It's a bit difficult to measure in situ.

Keep it up Gary. It certainly get to you sometimes and a break every now and then works wonders. I've struggling with mine for weeks now with engine issues and like you have stepped away from in for a couple of weeks. Still not sure if I can face it this week so I may just leave it another few days....

If you like football and funny stories I recommend the 'That Peter Crouch' podcast. I'm going though the episodes at the moment and have enjoyed a good amount of belly laughs whilst driving.

There's another ground strap from the gearbox that bolts to the underside of the trunk floor. Worth checking that too.

Welcome to DDK. Good to see you on here Steve. It was nice to meet you with you 914 a few months back. I enjoyed the brief drive of it. Reminded so much of mine before its restoration.

Re: Looking for an exhaust for 1.7/1.8L heat exchangers
So this is the only one that will fit that Dansk do which is a reproduction of the original 1.7/1.8 exhaust. https://www.jpgroupclassic.com/Images_products/1620000410.jpg That will fit of original 1.7/1.8 heat exchangers. I can't think of anything else that's a straight fit for those heat exchangers...

Re: Looking for an exhaust for 1.7/1.8L heat exchangers
Why on earth would they reproduce a 1.7/1.8L exhaust that doesn't fit the original heat exchangers?? I think something is amiss somewhere, absolutely no one would put that on a set of 2.0L heat exchangers.
I had a Dansk catalogue here but typically I threw it out just before Christmas.
