Re: 66 LHD 'Doctors Car' restoration begins

Congratulations Mick on the MOT pass, never doubted it for a minute.
Love the TR, red looks fantastic, I might finish mine one day :)
It was great to catch up with Robin and yourself at CLM.

Take care

Re: Special getting closer...

Hi Graham. I've contacted Derek, he has a 993 engine out of the car which you can measure, he's only in ironbridge, he'll send you a pm tomorrow. I'm sure there will be more issues than are visible, your engine has been under a hell of a strain which could has fatigued many parts that may not be evi...

You'd better raise the pressures on the one side then Gary :)
Let me know tomorrow what time you're leaving tomorrow. I plan to be home by 16:30 fingers crossed.

Re: Special getting closer...

Mikes got a point graham, hasn't someone got an engine out there for you thats got a known background and/or build history.
If you're keeping the original be sure to crack test everything or replace.

Re: 2.2s Targa rebuild

Hi Rich.

I've also got a lovely 380mm 914 wheel that's been in the loft for many years. It's in lovely condition like yours, I believe a mod has to be done for it to fit a 911?

What tyre pressures do you recommend for the trip to CLM?

Re: Good condition Weber or PMO carbs and manifolds wanted

The car was running really badly, it's like a dream now. I'm sure Alan won't mind me saying that he's old school having w...
