Dump the lot ASAP ... but what's the relevance of the compression ratio question ?? (probably be as well to change the fuel filter too ... not sure why I say that , just a residue thing maybe ?)

Oh go on ... weigh it for me (us) please (quick trip to your local weigh bridge) I'm interested in the list of left out / substituted bits ... but those are the relatively easy ones ... it's when you do away with the "silencer tubes" in behind the inner sills and things like that .... then...

Or just make one .... that's what I did. Length is critical , too short and it fouls the engine , too long and it fouls the chassis leg as you take the plug out. I bought the "spark plug end" , complete with rubber inset to grip plug , and welded an extension to it. Extension (home made) h...

Were hydraulic tensioners available in 1974 ? (if not .... as I guess is the case ..... they should not be fitted to these engines for them to be "legal")
