Negative .... are you thinking location ? Have thought of this - location of torsion tube is good , and I don't plan to disturb it - will plate over existing set up - bosses dressed flush and drilled out as necessary and "adjust" height of new bosses so that pinch on torsion bar bush remai...

Nick, this would be fine if the original bosses were in reasonable condition - nine are not - so much so that one of them is missing altogether ... plated over, then some engineering **** had gone to the bother of attaching the spacer to the remains of this 4th bolt - so to the casual onlooker , it ...

Try using heat from the opposite side (I used oxy/a) , then a paint scraper to "peel off" the covering. Trial and error to get heat level right - too cold and it won't come away easily , too hot and it simply fries.
Suspect an easy way does not exist !!

Numbers - no idea. Value comes down to three things - condition , condition and condition. I looked for a while to find a car for conversion to rally car (had to be RHD). Have spent 460 hrs so far on bodywork - guess total will be 1000 to 1200 ... do the sums ! Value could be from £3K to £33K + ... ...

Sounds like we were in a similar club ... re sub-arc. Guess who used to make pressure vessels for GEC ?? ... how about 12" thick .... narrow gap. Now I'm delighted to get welding anything over about 1.2mm !!
Oh the days of BS5500 and 410 Tonne vessels (not a typo !)
