Now sold - Boxster 986 (1999) 2.5, Tiptronic

Now sold Arena Red metallic, beige leather interior. 67,250 miles, always garaged, previously it was my Dad's car (purchased from Camtune) and one owner before him, very clean and original. Selling as currently still kept in my Dad’s garage, he would like his garage back, and besides now I have a 20...

Re: Child Seats - recommendations and fitting tips?!

Thanks James and Gary, still seems that seat is available, my only issue is that I only have the original two point lap belts. Did you modify and fit the three point belts in?

Child Seats - recommendations and fitting tips?!

Hello DDK members, It's been a long time since I posted, and having returned to the UK after many years of living in Asia, life has moved on somewhat, including now having a child (20 months old). I'd love to get my 1973 911T out more regularly, and hence wondering if anyone has any recommendations ...

Re: Sepia Brown 911T - FTM644L

Hi Rich, small world eh?! Where are you visiting in China, I'm based in Shanghai. Yes, that was me also at the tip, using my car as much as I could... even to dump rubbish. Nice fella I spoke too, he said he did a double take, obviously expected it to be you. Yes, my trips back are usual brief, but ...

Re: Sepia Brown 911T - FTM644L

Bit of a delayed reply, but only just noticed the post. That was me back in Sept, I was getting some use out of my car before returning to China where I now live. Hope to be back soon and able to use my car for a bit. I see you're in Hertfordshire.. someone told me they'd spotted another Sepia Brown...

Re: Short Term Insurance

Thanks for the replies! Likewise my annual insurance was pretty cheap previously (around £250 from memory). It's the road tax (mines a 73) and MOT on top of that which is probably not going to make it worth while for 10days of driving pleasure. Just a shame, I so badly want to drive my car for a few...

Short Term Insurance

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend an insurance company that will offer short term insurance for a classic 911? I now live overseas but my car is in storage in the UK and I'd like to be able to use it whilst I'm back in sunny England for 10days.

Thanks!

Thanks Sam, really useful information. I've not stored my car before, so am a little nervous of who to trust.

Car Storage - Long Term

Hi, just wondering if anyone had any recommendations or experience of storing their car long term. Work has taken be aboard and I've been living in Shanghai for the last 10 months and I'm staying out here for longer, so on a short trip back to the UK in the next couple of weeks, I want to find a goo...

Brake failure

Does anyone have any experience of brakes failing? My car has not been used for 8 months, and on the first outing the brakes failed, foot to the floor, but nothing. It didn't happened immediately and it only happened once on a 20minute outing and then they came back. The car’s not been used since, b...

Wiper Assembly for LHD 1973 911

I have the motor so just need the linkage. Have seen some on Ebay, but in the US so postage is a bit high. Any DDK'ers got one to sell?

Thanks
