Hi OB,
Yet another APAL - they were around for a while in the mid '80's. They produced a very nice "Hellblau" car and a horrific Candy Pink model. They exhibited at Soneleigh I seem to remember, but lasted only a year or so. Not sure if they ever got round to making their "own" moulds or not.

I've got a brochure (does look very like APAL), and the following from the speedsters site. Tried without any luck to contact the guy mentioned. Can e-mail copies to anyone that asks.
Paul - looking for a TPC Speedster. TPC was a company based in Stratford On Avon called Tudor Panel Craft,
The first vehicle built was Pink, this was used at the TPC launch in Warwickshire, many moons ago. The Directors were John Fincham, and Igor Kolodotski. John was the talent, Igor was the money - unfortunately Igor, purchased way to much stock, and put the company under severe financial pressure, only 20ish vehicles were built, the archives are long gone, I have John's mobile number - I'm sure he would share his knowledge with club members - out of nostalgia. I would very much like to track down this Pink car. If ANY members can help, I would be very greatful. I can remember visiting John at the factory as he was building these cars. I would love to buy a TPC, if one ever becomes available. John is my uncle. Regards
Paul. Contact me at

I used to have a TPC Speedster and was very very well built. had it for about 11 years. Shouldn't have sold it.
Only thing I would say is that the hood frame wasn't that good. worked well, but was a little basic (more basic than an original speedster.!!!)

Just found this which has a very interesting history of APAL. From my understanding, TPC actually used APAL bodies which they assembled and sold under the TPC Brand. Nice to see they are still going making bathtubs...though the proper sort and not out up turned ones!
