Weber jetting for 3.0 SC...

Post by speedysimon »

Does anyone know what the jetting is for a straight replacement of the CIS injection for a pair of Weber 40 IDA 3C/3C1 ?

I really need a starting point, but can only find settings for a 2.7...

Thanks in advance!

Hi you need to speak to Eike Heusen at Chatsworth Motor Spares on 01246 278633. He is the best kept secret in Porsche circles, he sets up loads of Weber race engines. Oh and did mine as well.

Bruce Anderson book says

40 IDA 3C
Use 34mm Venturi , F3 Emulsion tubes , 160 main jets and 175 air correction jets is the best setup to start with idle jets chosen by driver test but probably 60 or 65

He also says that it should be dynamo'd to optimize

One further note ...78/ 79 engines duistributor works fine with this setup but 80 and later needs modified (the advance curve is too short)

I've not done this but my engine is a 78 C3 so I'm keen to get feedback from anyone who has
Cheers
