The Great Conda Green Paint Code Mystery

After hanging around in the paint shop for most of last year my 1970 model 911T is about to get its top coat. However I have a problem with the paint codes. The data plate on the ‘A’ pillar gives a 2626 paint code. My spotters guide (Original 911 by Peter Morgan) lists Conda Green as a 222 code for 2.2 litre cars and a 2626 code for 2.4 litre cars.
So in theory my car should carry the code 222 being 2.2 litres (C programme) but it carries 2626 instead. I wonder if it is at variance being a Karmann manufactured car as opposed to a Stuttgart one or perhaps my guide is wrong.
My main concern though is whether 222 and 2626 are in reality exactly the same colour or whether they are a few shades apart. The paint suppliers only seem to recognise the 222 code.
