Dyno's Carerra 3.0 Hot Rod

I thought it was about time I added my car to the Gallery.

I bought this car in January of 2005, like this:
I then had it backdated to look early..
That was after selling my Porsche 928S2 concours winner..
It was like new.. no kidding. Only having covered 61,000 miles in its life. I'll get another, one day but in black and hopefully a s4 manual.
and my 356 project, which I regret selling but wasn't quite like new..
I must get another.. but again it must be an 'A' or pre A in Black.
Anyway back to the 911.
The car originally started out as a 1977 Carerra 3.0 of which only 1400 or so were made. I am led to believe that this model is getting quite collectable now and will only increase in value and perhaps I have done the wrong thing in making a hotrod or Outlaw car out of it. Oops, well I like it anyway.
The car did originally come with impact bumpers, whale tail etc.. but as you can see I have binned it in favour of the early look.
Inside I have a aged Momo Prototipo steering wheel for that authentic 70's look and feel. I have also installed a set of BF Torino sports seats with FIA approved race harnesses to keep me planted while I lay the power down.
Powering the beast is a higher compression 3.2 Motronic engine circa 85, coupled to the 915 gearbox of the same year. The car also fortunatly features later wide 'A' brakes all around, which are phenominal in reducing velocity. I have also added Goodridge stainless steel brakes hoses for added braking efficiency.
I have recently added a new ECU chip and the power is way up over the stock 230bhp. My butt dyno can feel the difference in a big way. I am also running a Dansk Sport pre-Muffler and Fabspeed Mufflerbypass, which means the car is fairly LOUD! It really gives you that LeMans race car sound but the downside is that is not discreet, which would be nice.
