DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

Hi everyone,
I am writing from Germany and I am currently researching the history of my right-hand-drive 1955 Porsche 356 Pre-A 1500 Coupe, chassis number 54142.
According to the Kardex, the car was delivered by AFN on September 13th, 1955, to a Mr. Wemyss.
It was a very unique special order, finished in a colourmix of Tudor Grey and Shell Grey with a Wine Red genuine leather interior.
I do know that my car later carried the registration 503 MMU.
I am a bit stuck at the moment. Does anyone here have access to the AFN records for September 1955, or perhaps a direct contact who could help me get a copy or transcript of the ledger line for chassis 54142? I am more than happy to pay the standard research fees, of course.Any help or lead from the UK community would be highly appreciated!

I have 54137, AFN #81 delivered to auto body service 10/12/55.

From what i know my car was delivered to afn on September 13th in 1955. but i still dont know via witch Garage it has been ordered. Plus what was Its First registration in whose name?

I think you already know most if not all you will find on the AFN sales invoice, but no harm in having one if you are happy to pay. Do you also have a Kardex for the car? Best, Robert

Yes i do. Plus i am getting the Reutter documentary. My goal is to solve Most of the Details of the Cars past since i think it is quiet a unique car.

Most important for me is to find out, what the Code 2711 behind the „ Colormix of shell and tudor grey“ means.

i am told this was the 7th porsche 356 ever to be sold to Scotland and it was afn #57. it was driven in the area of fife.

Yes! Thanks to Mike Smith from PRS! I got it, but there is still a Gap that I cant close yet. I was in touch with the first owner son. He told me, he will have the families Archiv searched. The seller told me that from his Memory, the Dashboard is first paint. Etc. the afn papers gave away the Garage that ordered the car in the first place and the Name of the first owner. All costs were listed.
