exhaust brackets

Post by Dean.s »

I'm looking for the hangers/brackets that fit the exhaust at the heads.

If memory is correct they attach one end at the exhaust/heat exchangers and the other fits to the fan shroud.

Failing finding some, if someone can post a pic with measurements i could make my own.

My 914. Picked up the new 2.0 heads from stateside and he told me about these brackets. I don't have them. James told me about the effects on heads/studs without the extra support.

obviously a tumbleweed situation. delving further i found stubbies that were fitted to later models. going to look further into a different lighter weight set up.

I'm still not sure which parts you are looking for. Here's the relevant extract from the parts manual:

I went through the parts catalogue and couldn't find them either.

My thoughts are maybe an after thought piece. non original. who knows.

Thanks for the help though.
