Front Bumper Trim - Genuine vs Dansk etc.

Hi folks,
Nay need a front bumper trim (S style) - checked with OPC and the anodised piece alone is £400+ and is on back order anyway.

Any views on Dansk, OE Match (design 911) etc? The complete item seems around £200 but unsure as to quality/appearance vs original.

Thanks,
Kevin

I used the aftermarket ones on my car and spent a good few hours making them the right shape.

Ultimately ok though

Hi Kevin

Is it a LWB S trim you need or SWB?

Mike

Found these so you can see what you are getting into. Even if you get the Porsche ones I wouldn’t bet on them being spot on.

Agree with Gary, some easy but tedious adjustments will be required, front and the two rears .
Also I feel that all bumper panels are not the same, esp if fibre glass, and also the slotted hole positions are critical.

Personally I would go Dansk and roll your sleeves up.

Worth some time getting them right, easy to see a 1/2 done job.

The strips on my 73T are 'S' size, and original from 1973. Big gaps when I replaced the old front panel from a glass one to a new glass one, the new one came of some known good moulds from a top top restorer.

About an hour to get then right.

The fastening studs do a good job of easing the alum into shape but only a few mm not cm.
