Hello,

Does anyone put sound deadening inside the doors before installing the window regulators?

Thanks Lee

I put the ‘anti-boom’ deadening in the centres of mine during my resto.
No idea how valuable it was as I didn't really run the car before I started the resto and b), it's a targa

Ditto.
I placed in 1989 one A4 size sheet of whatever rubbery stuff was available then in the middle of the skin.
It is about 2mm thick.

It does take the 'biscuit-tin' sound out of the closure.

I was inside my 1970 doors today and they have what appears to be original bitumen pads stuck to the back of the door skin. I assume they did so because it mitigated an issue.
