Hi all, I've been a member for a while, but not done much in the way of posting.
I had a 1989 3.2 which I sold last summer, a decision that I regretted as soon as it was gone. I've been looking for something to replace it with for a while, Typically Paul put his up for sale when we were away on holiday, and it was sold before I could get down to him. Thankfully Paul passed on my details to the trader that bought the car, he got in touch and after he finally decided to sell it on, we made a deal which I thought was reasonable.
Drove down with my son half way on Thursday evening, continued on Friday morning to meet up the trader, called Dom, the following morning in Wokingham. After a check round the car and a quick test drive we went ahead and bought it. A bit of a delay with the bank transfer, but that gave us time to load the original engine and a couple of boxes of spares into the hire car, and to get some lunch. Left for the long drive home around 15:30
It was a very hot day to be driving, but all went well, a few stops on the way and a road closure at Perth that we could have done without. However, we got home around 01:30 with no issues.
We never took many photos on the way home, but went out with it yesterday and have a few from then. Very happy with the car, Paul has done a great job building and looking after it.
