Have you looked at the MOT history on it, it has failed nearly ever MOT since the so called rebuild in 2005 with the last in 2022 saying rust visible everywhere.

Yeah that’ll do. I’ll give you a bottle of Claret for it if you include delivery

The mot history on the red ones interesting - I've found the 924 needs to be seriously abused for it to start failing like that. Galvanized from factory and rarely suffering from rust/rot like the 944s do they put up with neglect quite well. Saved mine from going down that route before 12 years ago now. Recently added 20mm on the rear to fill the arches since lowering it and I think it sits just about right

.
One owner from new. 68K miles from new.

Is the gearbox located at the rear? 50/50 weight distribution?
Is this car old enough for historic status (free road tax)?

.
That's a 924S which used the 944 engine.
It's not yet 40 yrs old so doesn't currently qualify for free road tax ...

168k miles no doubt and quite a few issues and expense to get it properly sorted and back on the road.
