Refitting rear window

I'm in the process of replacing my rear screen seal in my 912, managed to get the old one and trim out with minimal damage.

I've had one go at refitting everything with the new seal and original trim and am not happy with the results. Does anyone have any tips?

The issue seems mainly around the top of the screen, the seal is either pressed in on itself or too far from the recess.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Is it a genuine seal.? Don't have any tips, but was advised to use only genuine front and rear screen rubbers.

Thanks mate, that's the big question! I got a pair of used seals but unsure of whether they are original or not. Think I'm going too have to bite the bullet on some new ones.

if the old seals are not rotten, then reuse. If your having issues fitting old seals, trust me itll get tougher with new ones.Alternatively contact Paul at Glasstec. He specialises in Porsche screens. He refitted a Targa rear screen for us at Christmas.Top guy.

Thanks for the comments, took two tries to get it fitted to my satisfaction, the new seal was a good used one and judgeing by the fit original.

Lets hope the front is a bit easier when I get to it!
