Bingo.

Fully fabricated.

Tested working.

And sanded smooth, and blacked with heat and oil.

The book said to expect six shims... I found eight. Not sure what to make of that. I moved three to the outside of the pulley.

That is a lot of work!
Looked and posted my reply last night, but seems out of order, operator error i expect.
Get that other sill done!

Shim number all depends on the belt when new or when 'run-in' and a bit stretched.
Must admit I've never needed to re shim a new belt from installation to renewal, I've possibly replaced mine 6 times over the years.

It was about an hour all in, maybe an hour and a half, spread over two evenings. I needed to do something that would be completed quickly, for my own sanity. And starting the engine reminded me the fan belt squeals, so I wanted to fix that.
