Stainless Exhaust

Post by GonzoBard »

Thinking about replacing my 20 year old steel Dansk exhaust- should probably have bought a stainless one at the time. Anyone running a TT sports exhaust? Any other recommendations? Thanks

No info of a TT exhaust on a flat 4, but I have one fitted on a flat 6....Really good, been fitted for 10 + years and no issues .....I think they can also supply different outlet positioning (same as M&K), if you wanted to go GT3 style etc

Thanks, so decent quality, then. I think I’d be happy with the single near-side outlet, not looking to change the look particularly.

Again can't comment on 4 Cylinder version but my TT exhaust on my 911 was the first Rich did and he used it to make up his early templates.

Amazingly (just looked it up) this picture is from August 2007 and it still sounds wonderful and is going strong!

Twin outlet with TT J pipes. Cut the heat exchangers open and installed the J pipes in them so I have heat.
exhaust pipes are low enough to clear the bodywork and are not really obtrusive.
Noise is not obtrusive on tick over but goes into a deep throaty roar when pressing on

I've got a TT exhaust on my TypeIV, had it 8 years. Check out his website loads of examples of what you can have on there.

I like the prospect of a deep throaty roar! I drove a Volvo 850R as a daily until a couple of years ago (wife hated it and so finally it had to go) - that had a loud exhaust on it, sounded fantastic!

Highly recommend Rich at TT, his exhausts are exceptional for all. He wanted to borrow my 12 to come up with some different designs for 4 cylinder cars. I’ll pop by and see him. Definitely want him to make a proper version of my exhaust for me. I see it as the mock up that’s on there now ready for one of his

I’ve spoken with Rich and now just need to get organised and place an order. I fancy the single exit sports exhaust!
