4 bolt cv joint

Post by rft218 »

Hi All,

I have one of my CV's has packed up on my 71S, it is a 4 bolt plus 2 dowels.

I assume these are different from 6 bolt ones. The only people advertising 4 bolts ones that I can find is porcheshop at £263,which seems quite a lot of one CV :-)

Cheers

They are the same, just make sure the flange thickness and diameter are the same plus of course the splines.

Move your dowels into the two spare holes

If you are just replacing a cv joint, be careful. There are 2 different depths of 110mm cv. Check which one you have. £263 does sound expensive for just one joint.

You’d need an expert to confirm but I assume you can replace a -71 108x40 CV with the turbo version

Lobro turbo CVs are about £80 each
