New project starting soon.
Place now too full of cars and bikes, so next project much smaller.

Big challenge as there are 2 24tpi threads to be cut, male and female, 19 and 40mm dia and the lathe has no gears!
Might have to ask a good mate to do those for me.
The detail of the parts is tricky to cut, the porting especially so!

But, this is the purpose of the model.

Got to paint the hall and landing first I’m told.

There is a lot to live up to now with the Hillman Imp build and his fabrication/lathe work.....................

I'm on the last throws of the decorating!
We decided to change the double doors from the hall into the dining room.
Had the choice of new doors and fitting (I really don't like woodwork) or modify the originals from the early 80's.
£780 v £128, so the mods are nearly done. Awaiting the toughened glass this week coming, and about to open the white gloss tin in 10 mins time.

However, there has been some work on the engine!

More preparation for the project sorting the 1922 lathe out and tooling.

I'll re-start the thread over in Members Other.

The Honda Imp project is on a real high level above this engine and my skill set, but he does have SPACE and all the gear so no excuses for him!
Ha, just very very Green with jealousy.

This little 5cc engine will be a test mainly due to my skills and the lack of equipment, but a good mate has some real workshop machinery, so he will bail me out if I need it.

Most of the machining processes I last did when I was an indentured apprentice at 16 in my first year....close on 55 years ago.

Are you now doing that Terrapin Mike?
